CORONA GUIDELINES FOR VISITORS

CONDITIONS FOR ADMISSION AND PARTICIPATION

Access to the exhibition grounds is not permitted for people who show the typical symptoms of an infection with COVID. People who have been in contact with a person infected with COVID will also not be admitted, who are or have been in contact with a person infected with COVID and who have been in contact less than 14 days ago.

Only vaccinated or recovered people are allowed to enter. Vaccinated or recovered people have to present their certificate at the time of entry.

DEFINITION 2G+ IN GERMANY

VACCINATED

Complete vaccination
(final vaccination must be at least 14 days ago and it must be a vaccine approved in the EU).

For admission, in addition to a valid identity card, appropriate proof must be presented:

  • Vaccination card

The proof must be provided on paper or in an electronic document, in each case in German or English.

RECOVERED

A person is considered to be recovered if he/she has been tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 by PCR or other nucleic acid detection within the last 6 months and the test result was obtained at least 28 days ago.

For admission, in addition to a valid identity card, appropriate proof must be presented:

  • for convalescents, a medical certificate or a positive PCR test (with date).

The proof must be provided on paper or in an electronic document, in each case in German or English.

ONLINE REGISTRATION & ONLINE TICKETS

All visitors must register in advance via the online ticket shop. The online tickets are only there available. You will be asked your expected status at the time of the trade show already during the registration process; tested, vaccination completed, or recovered (proof will be required on site).

MOUTH-AND-NOSE COVER

Masks must be worn in the exhibition halls. Only FFP2 masks and medical surgical masks are allowed. Please bring your own masks. In closed rooms on the exhibition ground masks must be worn.

However, the following exceptions apply:

  • To children under six years of age
  • To persons for whom wearing a medical mask is not possible for medical reasons or cannot be reasonably required (doctor’s certificate required) In such cases a large coronavirus protection visor (chin visor not sufficient) must be worn
  • When using catering facilities or during eating and drinking
  • In the open air a mask is only to be worn if the minimum social distance of 1.5 metres from other people cannot be permanently maintained

The provisions that currently apply are set out in Point 1 of the Messe Friedrichshafen’s Protection and Hygiene Concept.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT

As usual, our free Messe-Express (Line MX) will connect the train station at the harbour and in the centre with the exhibition grounds. Masks are compulsory for the journey.

PARKING

As with the admission tickets, parking tickets are also only available for purchase online from the Messe Friedrichshafen Ticket Shop

MINIMUM SOCIAL DISTANCING

All exhibitors and visitors are requested to observe minimum social distancing of 1.5 meters.

HYGIENE

You will find an adequate number of disinfectant dispensers throughout the exhibition center, most notably at the entrances, hall intersections and the WC areas. There will be shorter disinfection and cleaning intervals with regard to frequently touched surfaces such as doorknobs, handles, and surfaces in sanitary areas. You are furthermore requested to dispense with the customary greeting rituals, and to observe sneezing and coughing etiquette.

NO CORONA TESTING POSSIBILITIES ON SITE

Visitors are requested to get tested before they come to the exhibition grounds. There will be NO corona testing possibilities for visitors!

VENTILATION

Entrance areas, exhibition halls, conference rooms and dining areas will be sufficiently supplied with fresh air (outdoor air quality). In addition, the exhibition halls have a ceiling height up to 24 meters. This additionally ensures sufficient air circulation.

INCREASED SPACE

We have increased hallway, traffic and activity spaces. By doing this we are giving visitors and exhibitors greater freedom of movement while guaranteeing the required social distancing.

RESTAURANTS & CATERING

Messe Friedrichshafen’s restaurant and catering partners have adapted their service concepts to the current situation and will be guided by the Federal State of Baden-Württemberg’s applicable Coronavirus Ordinance.

CURRENT SITUATION

The coronavirus situation remains highly dynamic. We would therefore ask you to inform yourself fully about the current rules as set out in the:

What are the entry requirements?

For visitors: the 2G+ rule applies, which means that admission is only possible for vaccinated and recovered persons with a negative rapid or PCR test. 

Exceptions to the test rule apply to persons with booster vaccination, persons with second vaccination less than 6 months ago and convalescents whose infection occurred no more than 6 months ago. Further exceptions can be found here.

Along with a valid identity card, the following certificates must be submitted for entry:

  • Vaccination certificate

The certificate must be supplied either on paper or in an electronic document, either in English or German.

Please note that the regulation of the state of Baden-Württemberg is only valid until 31 December 2021 and may be subject to change.

Is anyone excluded from participating?

Persons who are in contact with a person infected with the Coronavirus, or have been in contact with a person infected with the coronavirus within the past 14 days, or who present the typical symptoms of a Coronavirus infection are not allowed to enter the exhibition grounds.

Will I be able to buy a ticket on site?

No, tickets may only be purchased in our online ticket shop for a specific day. Each ticket will only be valid for the person named on the ticket.

Are the tickets refundable?

Tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded unless the event is canceled by Messe Friedrichshafen GmbH. In this case, the visitor will be automatically refunded the purchase price of his/her ticket.

Online registration – Do I have to register?

Prior registration is required for all persons entering the site. Registration is completed in the course of purchasing a ticket in our online ticket shop. This will enable us to control the total number of persons on site and to trace and contact each of them should any COVID-19 infections occur.

Is my guest ticket a valid entry ticket?

No. Guest tickets and voucher codes must be converted into personal tickets in our online ticket shop.

Will I have to wear a medical mask?

In enclosed rooms, all persons 6 years of age or older must wear a medical mask at all times.
Medical masks are not mandatory:

  • for children under six years
  • in the open air if the minimum distance of 1.5 meters between persons can be maintained at all times.
  • when availing oneself of gastronomical services (i.e. when eating and drinking).
  • for persons for wearing a medical mask is not possible for medical reasons or cannot be reasonably required (doctor’s certificate required) In such cases a large coronavirus protection visor (chin visor not sufficient) must be worn

Everyone must bring his or her own medical mask, as they will only be available for purchase in exceptional cases.

Will disinfectant be available?

Additional disinfectant dispensers will be positioned at all entrances and hall gangways. Disinfectant dispensers are permanently installed in all WC facilities.

What are the rules concerning hygiene on the exhibition grounds?

Messe Friedrichshafen recommends that every visitor to the exhibition grounds observe the preventive measures of the Federal Centre for Health Education (BZgA) and the hygiene recommendations of the Robert Koch Institute. The official social distancing and hygiene rules will apply, and it will be the responsibility of each individual to observe them (i.e. staying at least 1.5 meters apart, hand hygiene, medical mask, sneezing etiquette, no-contact greetings).

We also recommend the use of the CORONA WARN APP OF THE GERMAN FEDERAL GOVERNMENT.

How can I pay the parking fee?

You can buy a parking ticket in our online ticket shop. It will be scanned later when you drive out of the parking lot. Parking tickets are not sold on site.

Will I be able to try out exhibited products on site? Will there be any visitor participation activities?

Unfortunately, due to the Coronavirus, there will only be very limited product testing opportunities this year. And there will be next-to-no participation activities offered to visitors.

Will catering be provided on the exhibition grounds?

Our catering facilities on the exhibition grounds will be open. Messe Friedrichshafen's gastronomy and catering partners have adapted their food service concepts to the current circumstances and have been complying with the COVID-19 ordinance (Corona-Verordnung).

Do I have to buy an online ticket for the parking space when traveling by camper or caravan?

No, reservations are not possible, registration and payment take place on site upon arrival.

Please note that in January the sanitary facilities (WC/showers) are not open!
